Day to Day at Eagle's Landing
Combining our love for God, nature, and family relationships...
We steward Eagle's Landing to be a blessing for others.
Our Story
Becky & Steve have been married since 1981, and have 2 married daughters and 4 grandchildren. We have lived here in Florida since 1987
Becky has been involved in Missionnets, American heritage Girls, and Children's ministries in local churches. She loves to garden, participate in Garden tours, and conducts succulent workshops and plant sales. Becky's greatest love is--Jesus Christ, and as Becky's husband, I would say that her greatest virtue is how she expresses the love of Jesus to children and families. Her heart's desire is to be sure children know Jesus with understanding in all the teaching we do here.
Steve has been involved in Scouting since 1970, as a boy and then as an adult leader. Steve is an Eagle Scout.
He trained with the US Navy in the Dive-Farer/SEAL program. he was a leader in Royal Rangers for 28 years. 23 years as the Pen Florida District Water Safety Director and Eastern Division Commander from 2005-2008. Steve lays tile for a living with www.naylorstile.com and this is how the Ministry at Eagle's Landing has been supported.
We believe God is writing life stories in all of us today. Our hope is that everyone attending outings with us will have vivid and attractive memories that promote God's Kingdom principles and a life with Jesus.
Day to Day at Eagle's Landing
We purchased Eagle's Landing property in 2009. This was a step of faith in God to direct and guide us in the endeavors for the Gait Keeper ministry for Fathers and Sons.
In 2018 We moved our residence here and began an agricultural concept including succulents, florals, vegetables, assorted fruit trees, muscadines, and an annual harvest of palmetto berries off native scrub palms. In 2019 we established an equestrian area with a stable and 4 grazing pens for 2 Rocky Mountain Mares.
We live off grid with the sun as our source of electricity through a solar system, and we have a 450 ft deep artesian well for our water and lake. And the what can we say about the fun of making bread in woodfired brick ovens or homemade wine and garden to table vegetables.
Imagine rural activities, horses, a residence, and native eco system all working in harmony.
Agritourism
Most of what we do at eagle's Landing involves our equine and succulent/floral activities. We also open our property for event times as an Agritourism operator.
The State of Florida recognizes us and allows us to invite people to learn and share with all we do here at Eagle's Landing.
This allows our love of God, nature, and family relationships, to not only steward the land, but share the beauty in outdoor activities with others.
Federal Wildlife Habitat
Wildlife abounds in and around Eagle's Landing--Migrating birds, woodpeckers, tortoises, large mouth bass,& pan fish, bullfrogs, painted and water turtles. Blue herons and lily pads are found along the banks.
Song birds, bald eagles, ducks, osprey, barn owls, kite and red tail hawks, all nest and visit the pinelands and scrub palms.
A great Florida native habitat along with cypress, Japanese Blueberries, wild blackberries, oaks, duck potato, dahoon holly and other native nesting and wildlife sources.
